Completed in 12 months, the new state-of-the-art emergency department features nearly double the patient room count and a significantly larger overall department area compared to the original department. It also features a modern and spacious waiting area, dedicated public and ambulance entrances, increased triage capacity, a Radiology suite with X-ray services, and an in-department CT scanner. The new emergency department allows Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center to serve the community’s growing healthcare needs better.
