"Johnson
& Galyon's heritage is a gift. It was not acquired quickly.
We therefore honor and protect it."
Jim
Bush, Board Chairman
We
began in Knoxville in 1914 as the A.H. Whisman Company. Incorporated
in 1936, we took the name of Johnson & Willard in 1940. Fifteen
years later, we became Johnson & Galyon.
As
a Johnson & Galyon customer, you reap enormous benefits from
our loyal and talented workforce. Our craftspeople are committed
to their work and proud of the communities they help build. Over
the years, we have attracted second- and third-generation craftspeople
who make working at Johnson & Galyon a lifelong career from
apprenticeship to retirement.
For
almost 90 years, we've embraced innovation in construction, such
as today's smart building technologies of space-age building materials,
computer automation and energy management. Our progress over the
years has always been based on time-tested values, good judgment
and openness to new processes.
